Children of Eden

Children of Eden

Children of Eden was our latest production on 16-19th March 2016.

Based on the characters and events from Genesis, this is a joyous and inspirational musical about parents, children and faith. From the Creation to the Great Flood, beauty and wonder run side by side with loss and heartache – as all come to understand what it means to be connected as family. This musically masterful West End gem is from the composer of Godspell and Wicked and the director of Les Miserables.

The musical was performed in theatre space in Solihull Methodist Church – SMASH returning to our home at Solihull Methodist Church after many happy years at the Dovehouse Theatre to make full use of the facilities in the recently refurbished church for our production. Photographs of the production will be posted soon

This powerful musical is a retelling of the last seven days of the life of Jesus of Nazareth, beginning with the entry into Jerusalem and ending with the Crucifixion. It suggests political and interpersonal struggles between Judas Iscariot and Jesus.

Who did Jesus believe he was? Was Judas not satisfied with Jesus’s apparent lack of political planning and claims of divinity? Is that why Judas felt he needed to betray Jesus?
